Duck Dynasty ran for a total of 11 seasons on A&E, which is enough proof that it was a popular and entertaining reality TV program. The show gave us the Robertsons, a Louisiana family that had strong religious faith as well as multi-million dollars in the duck business. Although a lot of viewers considered them the new version of the Beverly Hillbillies, the family men are all recognized for their wild and long beards! One star, in particular, shaved his entire beard, the change so drastic, not a soul recognized him…
TV Fame
One of the Robertson bros, Jase, made a name for himself with his clever comments and that bushy beard of his. However, he recently told his fans it was time to say goodbye to the giant beard. No one expected the result of the transformation. Apparently, even his own wife was shocked by what she saw.

The Robertson Patriarch
Phil Robertson is the patriarch of the Robertson family and the founder of their successful duck calling company. He was a talented football quarterback during his days at Louisiana Tech, where he even got a roster spot on one NFL team. He declined this incredible opportunity because it interfered with the duck hunting season! It was in 1973 that he launched his own duck call business, which saw lots of success. This was merely the beginning of it all.

The Robertson Patriarch
Fame By Facial Hair
All of the guys in the Robertson family grew out long yet distinct beards as part of the outdoor southern lifestyle they had. Their facial hair has become their trademark and serves as a vital part of the duck-hunting brand. The beards have reached a popularity level so high that none of them thought about shaving it off. That is the reason so many fans were shocked when Jase made the pledge to shave it all off.

The Robertson Family
The show features a lot of the members of this tight-knight clan. Phil Robertson and Miss Kay, his wife, walked down the aisle when she was only a young girl of 15. Together, they have four sons between them: Alan, Jase, Jep, and Willie. Each of their kids has a family of his own, but they are all involved in the family duck-hunting enterprise in one way or another. Many of the grandchildren are also big parts of the television show. Willie’s daughter has even appeared on Dancing With the Stars in the past! No matter how close they are, we can only guess what the others thought about Jase’s plan with his beard.

Duck Dynasty Dilemma
If you were a big fan of the show, you have probably heard of the Duck Dynasty controversy. We are talking about the time Phil said offensive remarks in one magazine interview. The series got a brief suspension because of the comments. There are some individuals claim that it was what led to the lower ratings of the show. This was why the show had to end after 11 lucrative seasons. Was this why Jase decided to shave off his famous beard?

Duck Dynasty Dilemma
The Funny And Good-Looking One
Jase Robertson is the second eldest child of Miss Kay and Phil Robertson. He is now the COO of the family enterprise as well. If you watched Duck Dynasty, you probably remember him for being both the best looking and the funniest of the sons. What led him to bid his beard adieu?

The Funny And Good-Looking One
A Good Reason
Although all of the Robertson family men boast of long, bushy beards, there is something special about the one Jase sported. This is yet another reason so many viewers and relatives felt shocked when he decided it was time to get rid of his facial hair. The good thing is that he planned to do this for an amazing reason that was near and dear to him.

A Good Reason
His Little Girl
Mia, his daughter, has had a cleft lip and palate ever since she was born. The condition naturally occurs when the top lip of the baby does not form properly while in utero and the skull does not connect correctly with the top of the mouth. Luckily, this is not a fatal conditional and can be treated with surgery. However, the child might suffer from speech difficulties growing up.

Support From Fans
Mia underwent surgery in 2014 to adjust the cleft lip and palate. Jase, as well as his wife, felt anxious about the procedure their beloved daughter was about to undergo. However, they felt amazed by the support they got from the fans at the same time. That must have been what led them to their decision to launch a charity that would help children with the same condition.

The Mia Moo Fund
He then started to commit to raising funds for the foundation that he and Missy, his wife, created in honor of Mia. They called the organization the “Mia Moo Fund”. Isn’t that adorable? They did this to pay tribute to their little girl and raise money for something that was personal to them.

The Mia Moo Fund
Setting Their Goals
If they wanted to succeed and meet their goals, they had to make a lot of money for this charity. That is the reason Jase shaved his beard off. The fundraising pledge was not only going to benefit the foundation, but it was also going to be advantageous for Missy. After all, she had not seen her husband clean-shaven in seven years! He promised that if they raised a thousand hundred dollars in donations, he would cut off the beard. Despite this, Jase was still unsure if they could reach the goal they set.

Setting Their Goals
Beardless Robertson Brother
Even though the majority of the Robertson men had facial hair, one of the brothers did not follow the tradition. Al, the eldest brother, was cleanshaven when the show was airing. Jase also trimmed his own beard a couple of times in the past, primarily between filming, in order to grow it out for the cameras in time. However, the last time he was beardless had been seven years ago.

Beardless Robertson Brother
People With No Beards
The loyal fans of Duck Dynasty were absolutely shocked to hear about the pledge he made to shave off his beard. After all, he made contradictory statements about doing so on an episode before. He used to say, “There are two kinds of people without beards, children and women, I am neither.” Although his comments had been thought to be playful, we doubt that he would be laughing after all this.

People With No Beards
Desire To Be Anonymous
This Duck Dynasty star already thought about shaving off his valued possession in the past. In 2013, he talked in an interview about shaving off his famous beard when the series was over. However, it was not going to be for charity – he wanted to do it out of a desire to become unrecognizable! Since he always had fans approaching him and asking for photos, he thought that this would not happen without it.

Desire To Be Anonymous
Time To Say Goodbye
Even though his new motive for shaving the beard off was noble, it was a decision that required a lot of thought before he did anything drastic. He seemed to be getting cold feet as it was going to be a huge change for him. Long beards are practical features for duck hunters as it helped them blend in with the environment. After thinking about it a lot, he came to the conclusion that shaving off the facial hair would help the charity and their advocacy.

Time To Say Goodbye
Problems Came With It
Although beards are handy when it comes to duck hunting, there are also certain costs. He once got an extra search at the airport because of the length of the beard. It was especially long since it was the end of the season. Security felt the need to conduct a mandatory search on him.

Mistaken For A Caveman
After a thorough search by the airport personnel, he was then stopped by a fan who asked him for an autograph. He signed one for the young boy and started talking to him. Jase realized that this boy had not heard of the show but thought he was a Geico caveman! After the funny encounter, it was not unreasonable to think he was going to shave it off at last.

Mistaken For A Caveman
Thanks To The Beard
Jase and the distinctive beard have been invaluable to the family enterprise. Thanks to his dedication and hard work, Jase managed to accumulate an impressive net worth of about $10 million. Although Jase could retire any time he wants, he decided to focus his attention on a noble cause.

After The Show
Now that Duck Dynasty has ended, Jase decided it was time to be around his friends and family. He made a website by the name “CamoFix”, which served as a platform to tell their fans what is going on in his post-TV life. Jase has also made appearances at different Christian gatherings and events to express his support. Now that he no longer has to film for the show, he has the chance to focus on things he is passionate about. Good for you, Jase.

After The Show
Making The Announcement
Jase told everyone he was going to cut off his beloved beard in June. Many of his fans were shocked to hear about this. Jase and Missy went on the Fox morning show to talk about the big shave as well as his motivations to do such a bold thing. They have arrived at a date already: September 4. Jase already gave his barber the go signal to work on it. Apparently, Missy herself could not remember what her husband looked like without the beard! The event was an exciting one for all Duck Dynasty fans. At long last, it was time to see what he was like without the beard.

Making The Announcement
A New Look
Jase expected to big shave to make quite the fanfare among their supporters, which is why he streamed it on Facebook live. As he was sitting in the barber chair, his wife took over the camera and caught every single detail. His friend got the responsibility to shave the beard off and to fix his hair to go with the new look. You will love the reaction he got from the rest of the family.

A New Look
Her New Husband
True enough, Jase looked a lot different without the beard! With the clean-cut look, it was dramatic to see how different he looked from his brothers. Everyone was happy with the end result, but Missy was the one who was most delighted about it. She said that Jase looked like a completely different person but liked how her husband now looked. She even took to Twitter to report that she was beginning to flirt with him more than usual after the makeover. We understand since we can’t believe it’s him either.

Her New Husband
Growing It Back
Although most of his fans thought he would later grow the beard back, they took the time to appreciate his new look. It might mean that he would have a tougher time while hunting, but it is worth it for his wife’s reaction alone. The most important part is that he got to raise lots of money for the foundation, which made everyone in the family proud of his efforts.

Growing It Back
Clean-Cut Kids
Once upon a time, the Robertson boys sported a clean-cut look. Shocking, we know. Who could have known that they were all handsome creatures beneath all the facial hair? Ladies, you are in for a treat.

Sergeant Si Sans Beard
Si Robertson used to rock the beardless look as well. We could not have recognized him without his beard! Well, well, well. He looked like such a dashing Sergeant. Do you prefer him with or without it?

Marriage Through The Years
My, Jase definitely looked like a different man when he and Missy were newlyweds. We are sure Missy is thrilled to enjoy his face in all its glory once more. He looked just like the young man she married!

All Smiles
Who would have guessed that this family is the exact same one that would later appear on the hit reality TV program called Duck Dynasty? We are mind-blown after seeing this. Time sure changes everyone.

Young And Smitten
Here is yet another throwback photo of the lovebirds when they were much younger than they are now. They are the very definition of American sweethearts, don’t you think? We adore them and the photo.

Island Joy
The pair of lovebirds are clearly enjoying the Hawaiian vibes! We were thrilled to see this old holiday photo of theirs. The baby-faced couple might look a lot different now, but this is a great shot of them.

Phil Of The Past
Whoa, who would have thought that Phil looked just like an innocent angel when he was younger? Do you think he thought he would be sporting such a legendary beard when he was a teenager?

Eminem Wannabe
Oh my, this is one glorious photo. However, we bet that Stan would have preferred it had this never seen the light of the day. He sure looked like someone from an Eminem music video.

Mischievous Little Kids
In one interview, Willie said that they all grew up “rough and tough…it created us to be independent and real confident.” We doubt anyone that the four little kids here would one day run a company worth millions of dollar! When this shot was taken, they were too busy thinking about goofing around instead.

Mischievous Little Kids
Back In The Day
Jase was once under the impression that the show would not be successful. He explained, “We grew up real poor. There were four boys and my parents in a two-bedroom house. So I cannot believe this.” The lads in this photo must have been enjoying the family success as well as their clean-shaven youth.

Back In The Day
Happy Together
During one interview, Willie got to talk about his family and marriage. This was what he said: “Our marriage has been tested: tons of kids, growing businesses and working with family on both sides. And it’s withstood all that. You either melt and crash or you become strong. We’re strong.” The entire family had been enjoying a lovely beach vacation when this was taken. Look at Willie’s hair!

Happy Together
No Way
If you ask Willie, he has zero plans of ever shaving his glorious beard again. Korie, his wife, does not seem to mind the fact that her husband is fully committed to keeping his beard.

Making A Killing
Phil, the patriarch of the Robertson clan, did not only score a touchdown with the duck hunting business, but he also did well on the field! This young athlete sure looked like he had an amazing arm. With his present success and net worth, we are sure that he has no regrets about not going pro.

Professor Phil
You would not believe what Phil used to do for a living before going into duck hunting! He and Kay used to teach at a local high school! He did not sport a beard during his time as a teacher, however.

Remaining There
When they were young adults, Phil and Kay Robertson chose to stay in their home state, Louisiana. They remained home and created an empire for the kids and the eventual grandkids. Do you think they had any idea they would make it big in the future?

Remaining There
The Beginning Of The Beard
Phil started to grow out his beard when his sons were all teenagers. He has not shaved it ever since. After the kids were done with high school, they all joined him and started to grow out their own beards.

High School Kid
In high school, Willie had been an all-star basketball player who eventually became the CEO of the family duck hunting business. Do you think that great smile helped him reach the top and amass a wealth of more than $25 million?

A Winning Yearbook Smile
Willie’s wife Korie has explained that their youngest kid Bella has never seen her dad without that iconic beard. If she only looked in his old yearbooks, she could get a glimpse of him back in the day without it.

Passing It On
Willie did not become the CEO of the family business until the kids were all a little older. Even though the beard now covers the dimples, they are actually prominent. We are not surprised to find that both John Luke and Sadie inherited the dimples from him!

Family Photo Fun
Jase and Missy had been high school sweethearts. The second photo shows them posing for the camera. Meanwhile, the first photo shows a bearded Jase together with Missy and the kids: Cole, Mia, and Reed.

Prom Photo
Willie and Korie first met at a summer camp when the two of them were in the third grade. They were only teenagers when they decided to get married. Korie explained, “We were together probably three months before we started talking about it, and then we got married within a year — I was 18 and he was 19. No one was pregnant!” The two of them look so cute and happy in their prom photo. Aww.

Unwinding With Uncle
Sadie Robertson took to her Tumblr to post this lovely photo of her with her uncle Jep. The photo went viral right away! As you can see, the Robertson family has a big fan base, but Sadie is especially popular.

Doing It Right
John Luke, Korie and Willie’s son, also decided to stick to the family tradition of growing out a beard. We wonder what would happen if they deviated from the path. He looks a lot like his father in this photo!

Doing It Right
Tying The Knot
John Luke recently got married to Mary Kate, his longtime girlfriend. The ceremony was attended by 700 guests and happened on the family farm. The two of them both attended Liberty University and hope to start their very own family soon.

Faux Pas
The stars of Duck Dynasty might have fans, but their sense of style is not always a hit. Jase got kicked out of the Trump International Hotel in NYC once because an employee mistook him for a homeless man.

Supporting The POTUS
During the 2016 presidential race, Willie was a vocal and avid supporter of the Republican candidate and current President, Donald Trump. We are sure that he was very glad about the outcome of the election!

Meeting Barack Obama
It was in 2013 that Willie and Korie Robertson got to attend the White House Correspondents’ dinner. They even got to meet then President Barack Obama, who told them he was a Duck Dynasty fan. Cool!

Political Friends
Willie and Korie happen to be friends with Eric and Lara trump. They also made a sizable donation to the Trump campaign back in 2016. Do you think there is any chance that Eric Trump will grow out a beard just like his famous friend?

Al The Wild Child
You might think that Al, the original beardless Robertson brother, is a conservative person. The reality is that his past was rather wild. Maybe things would have gone very differently if he only sported a beard.

A Tragedy
In the past year, the Robertson family tragically lost a member to cancer. If you kept up with the reality show, you must have seen how close the entire family is. They never failed to support each other when they were going through a difficult time. We were certainly moved by the way they mourned and honored all the deceased family members.

A Tragedy
Welcome To Robertson Row
Many of the Robertson family members live near each other in what has become known as “Robertson Row”. In their very own cul-de-sac, there are eight houses, and the four Robertson siblings live in four of these. The remaining four houses, meanwhile, are where extended family members and close family friends reside. With this information in mind, you can imagine how tough it must have been for them to watch one of their own succumb to cancer.

Welcome To Robertson Row
A Sad Day
One of the homes located in “Robertson Row” was the residence of John and Chrys Howard, Korie’s parents. Since her own set of parents is a vital part of the family, they have also gone on Duck Dynasty a number of times. Followers of the show have gotten to know the Howards as supportive and loving parents and grandparents. When a cousin of theirs died of cancer, the whole Robertson cran mourned with them and expressed their support.

A Sad Day
Fighting Cancer
Korie and Willie were only kids when they first got to know each other at a summer camp. Chrys was a long-time friend of the Robertsons and worked as the director of Camp Ch-To-Ca. After the death of her family member, she took to Instagram to post a photo in honor of her cousin. This was what the caption read: “This past week one of my cousins, Glenn Durham, lost his battle with cancer and gained his heavenly reward.” Let us just hope that the Robertson family managed to move forward after such a terrible loss.

Take a look at this photo to see how much our beloved Duck Dynasty stars have evolved over the years. Willie, Jase, and Jep sure look like they were about to get into some mischief in this photo.
