Karen was actually proud of herself for making her own album. She put a lot of effort into its creation. However, not a lot of people agreed with her. Even her own brother said that it was “too mature” for her and that it did not suit her vocal range. He actually called the songs weak! The negative reception made Karen think it was her fault the album failed.
