Did you know that they were officially known as “Carpenters”, not “The Carpenters”? It might seem like a minuscule detail, but this also means that fans have been calling them the wrong name the whole time! Why did they even drop the article in the first place? It was apparently because they thought it was cooler at the time. After all, musical acts like Jefferson Buffalo Springfield and Airplane did the same thing!
