Professionally known as Dr. Dre, Andre Romelle Young is an American rapper, record producer, audio engineer, record executive, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Beats Electronics and Aftermath Entertainment and was previously the co-owner of Death Row Records. In 1985, Dr. Dre began his career as a member of the World Class Wreckin ‘Cru and later found fame with the gangsta rap group N.W.A. Then, in 1992, he began his solo career, but he focused on producing other artists during the 2000s, sometimes contributing vocals.
