David Borman
David Borman was 19 years old when this incident took place in September 2003. He and six pals were hanging out at Dunes, South Africa. He had just entered the water with a surfboard when he was attacked by a great white shark! He had a black wetsuit and fins on, so he might have been mistaken for a seal. When they were able to bring him to the shore, he already lost a lot of blood. The teenager was pronounced dead right away.

A shark viciously attacked her when she got into the water. It was a very brutal attack, and she lost most of her right leg. He was able to pry the shark away and rescue her. Despite his efforts, she died from losing too much blood.
