A Staircase You Would Love
The new log cabin came with an upper floor. They needed to create a staircase if they wanted access to the second floor of the house, of course. To do this, Richard fashioned one out of a fallen oak tree. His decision to do this meant he did not have to go and cut another beautiful and alive tree down. Moreover, the aged appearance of the wood made him the envy of any carpenter!
