With minor exercise needs, a Maltese is a great choice for seniors. They don’t need a whole lot of grooming and have a lot of love to share. The breed adjusts well to smaller spaces or apartments and will love just spending time cuddling. They’re often used as therapy dogs due to their calm nature.
