Otterhound
Although the Otterhound does not get as much publicity as the others on the list, it does not make them any less of an ideal companion for older people. The breed has an average life expectancy of around 12 years. Although they require a regular amount of exercise, we think it is not a bad payoff when you get such an intelligent, faithful, independent, and loving friend!
