Arab Fashion Week
In April 2018, Saudi Arabia hosted the first ever Arab fashion week. The event started two weeks later than the planned date, but it made history. This is the first event of its kind and designers and models came from different countries to participate in the fashion week. Saudi Arabia hopes to create a fashion hotspot in the the region.
Saudi Cuisine
As religious Muslims, the population is forbidden from eating pork, and other animals must be slaughtered according to Halaal standards. The population eats a number of traditional foods that carry Turkish, African, Indian, and Persian roots, to name a few. They enjoy dishes like shwarma, kebabs, falafel, and kabsa.
