Passing The Test
Before purchasing the dress, Clare check to make sure that the dress stood the dress-length test her school had implemented. According to the school, all girls’ dresses for the prom had to reach below the fingertips of the girls while standing with their arms by their sides. Clare relaxed when she performed the test herself and realized that the cocktail dress was just long enough to be acceptable. Prom night seemed to be approaching and all the preparations were falling into place.
