Kicked Out
Mrs. Duncan used her authority and summoned a security guard to escort the girl from the building. It was all of 5 minutes, but the ordeal would leave a scar in her prom night for her whole life. The security guard who walked her off the premises was asked by Clare what he thought about the situation: “I asked the security guy if my dress was compliant with the dress code and if he had noticed any inappropriateness in my behavior and he said he didn’t think I did anything to get kicked out but it wasn’t his call.”
