The thirteen people on-board work to disrupt any and all enemy communications, which means limiting their ability to launch attacks against the U.S. military. This plane is currently being used to fight ISIS.

This plane relies on visual targeting, which separates it from most of its modern counterparts. Because this plane is so large and generally flies pretty low, it makes it an easy target, which is why it is usually only flown at nighttime.
