As a stand-up artist, Jackie Mason arguably became famous. Mason had been on Broadway numerous times, and selected the 63rd spot, according to the Comedy Central survey for leading stand-up comedians. In recent years, Mason has been able to store wealth in the millions. There would be no problem here if he enjoyed retirement!
JULIE GIBSON, 105 YEARS OLD
Established in Washington, Julie Gibson was known for her excellent performance and singing in the 1940s. Singing with the Jimmie Grier Orchestra was how she started to work, and then joined Joe Penner’s radio show. She starred in smaller roles initially, but with time she was able to get into movies like Chick Carter, Detective. She eventually widened her horizons as her career prospered, taking on diverse roles in distinctive styles of films and even worked abroad. Currently, Gibson was the oldest artist still living in the Golden Age.
