We bet you would not believe that Betty White was initially rejected by the film industry because they did not find her to be photogenic enough. We can’t believe it either. She started out working on radio productions before she made it big. At the present, she holds the record for a female entertainer with the longest running career. That’s awesome, Betty! It is also interesting that she has yet to express any interest in retiring soon.

You will have a hard time believing what we have to say about Kirk Douglas. The actor might just be immortal, no kidding. He served during the Second World War, survived a chopper crash in 1991, and experienced a stroke when he was 80 years old. We are incredibly glad that he is still around and kicking! Aside from the aforementioned situations, he has also been active in the industry since 1946.
