Although she was an adult moose now, there was still lingering danger for Emma. Now, as a fully-grown moose, she became a target for local hunters. This alarmed Plucas. He desperately wanted to protect her from the hunters, so he devised a plan. It was also important for Sasnauskas to continue to implement his own plans and promises.
