Even though Emma was now full grown and could fend for herself, Plucas still worried, as any parent figure would. He vividly recalled, saying, “I remember those first nights she didn’t come home… Oh, I barely slept. But she grew up, I had to get over it. After all, it was my goal from the very beginning.”

The First Surprise
Finally, Plucas thought he came to terms with the fact that Emma left forever, but then she came and surprised him! However, it wasn’t just one little visit. Emma began making daily visits to Plucas. He saw she was grown and able to care for herself. Whenever she came to visit, he made sure to make those moments together special.
