While the fawn ate, Mack still continued to care for her. No matter what, he would watch the deer and clean her as well. During playtime, the dog saw that the deer never strayed off too far. In a matter of days, the deer was able to walk gracefully, and her spirits were lifted.

The Dilemma
It really touched Sasnauskas to see the fawn bond so closely with his pet dog. However, he still had some reservations about their bond. He didn’t want Mack to grow too attached since he planned to release the fawn back into the wild. After all, that’s where a wild deer belongs.
