While she did not experience much success after dipping her toes in the pop genre, she was not discouraged from trying. In the late ‘70s, the musician started working with Sandy Gallin, who ended up managing her for the following 25 years.
Here She Comes Again
Dolly kept aiming to appeal to more than just the mainstream audience. She thus came out with “Here You Come Again,” which sold more than a million copies. It soared to the top spot on the country charts and the 20th spot of the pop charts. More success was on its way for Dolly. However, she did not actually compose one of her greatest songs – the credit for this one goes to Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
