For many people, “Coat of Many Colors” is Dolly Parton’s signature song. However, did you know that it only ever reached #4 on the charts? In the late 70’s, her biggest hit ever came out. It was none other than “Jolene”, obviously. Aside from rising all the way up to the top of the charts, it became a hit in the United Kingdom. How cool is it that Dolly Parton wrote and performed this song that has since been mentioned as one of the best songs of all time by the Rolling Stone magazine?
