The world listened in awe when musician Minnie Ripperton released the hit Lovin’ You back in the ‘70s. Sadly, she only got to spend seven years with her daughter Maya Rudolph before she passed away. Despite this difficulty, Maya had no trouble bringing out her mother’s stage prowess on her own. Just listen to Lovin’ You where you can hear Ripperton singing “Maya” near the end of the song. Sadly, that will be the closest thing they would ever have to a duet. Nonetheless, the singer-songwriter lives on in her young daughter in looks and talent, though Maya can’t quite hit the same note her mom could. She is more in the business of making people laugh!
