Queen Elizabeth II was just 21 years old when she and Prince Philip got engaged in 1947. When they finally let the public know about the engagement, they had a photoshoot for the press release. In this photograph, Elizabeth looked absolutely dazzling in a white dress and a pearl necklace. However, there were a lot of people who felt that Philip would not be a good husband for the then-princess.
