When Su and the family realized the truth about their dog, Su felt absolutely frightened and found herself at a loss for what to do. Their pet was actually a bear, and he was no longer a cub. Although she did make a bond with Little Black, she could not help but think about the possibility of him eating her family alive should he ever go hungry. In the meantime, she tried to do the best thing she could and fed him first.
