Personally, I will forever remember the time I visited a nearby flea market when I was small. There was some pretty cool stuff for sale and there were plenty of interesting individuals selling these things. I can’t forget the feeling of awe I felt as I went around and inspected everything that was on sale. While there were many amazing things I wanted to take home with me, I did not have a lot of cash on hand. I was a little kid, after all! It’s not necessarily a bad thing, in retrospect. Some of the things I wanted were simply too ridiculous and embarrassing, now that I think about it. Among these were the colorful shirts on display in one of the stalls. Eye-catching as the brilliant colors were, it was the slogans that truly caught my attention. They read things like “Ready for War! Got my F-bombs!” I didn’t know what they meant at the time, but I still wanted to take those pieces home. To my seven-year-old self, they were incredibly witty for some reason. Luckily, my father was a man of sense and firmly said no when I asked him to lend me some cash to buy it.
Let’s just say that there are pieces of clothing that are meant to be worn… while there are some that simply don’t deserve to see the light of day. Essentially, we’re all in charge of what we wear as long as we have the means. Let the following images serve as some sort of fashion cautionary tales.
